Well, that was a lot of information. All that remains is the question: How do you join the Gràdhfur Pack?
Don't fret, it is very simple! :3
Follow the tutorial for the Element-App and account creation.
Then, at the bottom of each page (or here) you will find a link to our separate Matrix Space in which the pack processes applications.
There you will be greeted by our Alpha und Beta, who will look at your application and judge it. If everything goes well, you will officially be accepted and can interact with other members from that point on.
The process will be explained more detailed in the following :3
General Requirements
Our highest priority is the safety of our therian family. Among multiple defensive precautions, we set certain basic requirements for possible new members:
(1) We only accept therians and/or otherkin as possible members
(if you still need to find out whether you belong to those categories, we will provide aid
with your self-discovery)
(2) We do not accept members below the age of 13 years old.
(3) You must be fluent in either english or german.
(4) (You should be residing roughly near Leipzig, or are able to take a fast and relatively cheap transport here.)
(This requirement is only a guideline. We may be a preferably local pack, however we do accept members from all over Germany)
Writing an application for the Gràdhfur Pack
(1) Due to reasons of tight security and independence, all our communication is conducted via Matrix/Element. This means that you'll first have to create a Matrix Account on our own homeserver (gradhfur-comms.org). The procedure for this is described in the tutorial. Furthermore, there is our FAQ regarding our homeserver.
(Should we decide to deny your application, we will delete your account data immediately upon request).
Should you have any questions or concerns regarding creating an account, then please send us an Email and we will try to clear everything up for you as quickly as we can :3
(2) Join our separate Matrix Space here. This environment is only used to process applications and is not the space where the pack interacts with each other.
(3) Please have another read of the rules and requirements. You can find them in the their respective sections of this website.
(4) Posted in the room called "📨┃how-to-join", you will find a template for your application. In order to read messages within channels in Matrix Spaces, you will need to manually join them!Fill out the questionnaire within 5 days and then send your answers to the room called "🚪┃newcomers". And no worries: No-one but the Alpha and Beta can see your application - and usually not even other applicants!
Thus, any info is predominantly safe and confidential to the best of our abilities.
(5) Now we play the waiting game. Either our Alpha or Beta will eventually have a look at your application and decide whether or not to accept you as a new member on probation :3
Our Alpha or Beta may have to message you to clear up remaining questions.
(6) As soon as you are verified after a successful application, you will be able to interact with other members and use most functionalities of our Matrix Space :3
Last remarks about applying
We explicity ask you not to lie on your application. This includes all points of the application form. Lies discovered at a later point in time will entail harsh consequences which can reach up to a banishment from the pack.
If you're not comfortable with sharing your exact age, an age bracket of 3 years which contains your true age will suffice instead.
Please only send a single application per person. Multiple applications or spam will be deleted without further ado, or in severe cases we will shut down the relevant account.
If no progress on the processing of your application is visible to you after 24 hours, you are eligible to directly ask our Alpha and Beta about the state of your application.
Yes, creating a Matrix Account on the Gràdhfur Homeserver is absolutely mandatory. We only communicate over this medium, as all data and server hardware is managed by us alone. With this setup, we can ensure maximum safety and privacy for all of our members, applicants, and partners within digital space to the best of our abilities.
Yes, an application is absolutely mandatory. This precaution ensures that trolls, nazis, random evildoers, and bottom-of-the-barrel scum in general are recognised and dealt with far away from the pack's everyday life.
