Rules
and Values
⤖ What is important to us ⬻

A friendly and warm cooperation within the pack obviously cannot exist without distinct rules and guidelines.
In this paragraph, we will present you our practical organisation and order as well as our general beliefs and views.
⤖ In the pack's everyday life, all members are fundamentally equal. ⬻
The Gràdhfur Principles

Be respectful to each other.
With society already against us, we cannot afford infighting on top of that. If there are (bigger) problems, discuss them with pack leadership.

Be wary of outsiders and humans, but be friendly to those accepting us.
Humans usually disapprove of beings like us and rarely have good intentions in mind. In an emergency, we will defend ourselves by all means. On the other side of the coin, be polite and friendly to those who accept us.

Honesty, Communication, Logic.
These three things are imperative to an orderly and desirable pack climate. Without them, cooperation would be nigh impossible and pack leadership could not respond to its tasks correctly.

What happens in the pack, stays in the pack.
The pack is a space of trust and privacy, not a source for gossip to be shared with unrelated parties. This is especially true regarding the sharing of meet-up plans with outsiders as well as Omegas and also includes personal as well as general information.
Comments about our principles
The principles shown above form the core of our entire set of rules, as all other more detailed rules can be derived from their values. This is also true for spontaneous decisions of pack leadership in circumstantial situations (see below). If in doubt about the applying rules of a situation, one should consult these principles as guidelines.
A separate list of rules exists to regulate behavior on the discord server, but it will not be discussed further here. However, that does not mean it is less important for good cohabitation within the pack!
As already mention above, pack leadership reserves itself the right to make spontaneous decisions or to impose consequences depending on the circumstances. This affects situations that are not officially covered by our set of written rules. Of course, this will always happen in accordance with pack principles, and never on a whim.
Written Rules of the Pack
(1) All members are fundamentally equal in the pack's everyday life and they all have the same right to exist.
(2) Decisions and rulings of members who carry responsibility are to be respected and followed. (see organisation of the "rank hierarchy")
(3) Individual desires and needs of each member in reference to topics such as pronouns, trigger warnings, the usage of "tone tags", harsh language and general social contact are to be regarded and respected.
(4) Freedom of opinion and speech exists on a basis of well reasoned and understandable logic. The spreading of and insisting on misinformation is strictly prohibited.
(meaning: "be a decent and reasonable person", see e.g. rule #6)
(5) It is allowed (and desired) to discuss and debate controversial or grey topics in a civilised manner.
(6) Racist, misogynistic, homophobic, predatory, paedophilic, political right-wing or
anti-belief* views and positions are not tolerated and are not to be defended.
(7) Topics such as depression, suicidal thoughts, trauma, NSFW and similarly loaded/special points can be talked about in specifically set up environments. They are to be kept away from the pack's everyday life.**
(8) Multipacking is not allowed.*** Exceptions can be discussed with pack leadership, for example when members live further away from our radius.
(Meeting up and interacting with therians outside the pack is always allowed at all times.)
(9) Promoting other groups, packs or organisations is not allowed and has to be authorized by pack leadership beforehand.
(10) Sharing any information from inside the pack to outsiders or members not intended to know is strictly prohibited.
(11) Deliberate provocation of arguments and conflict within the pack is not allowed for any member.
Remarks about pack rules
*The term anti-belief references the incontestable freedom of belief within our pack. As the (non-)existence of a god or higher power/beings/energies cannot be proven, the topic of individual belief is outside of any logical discussions.
Religions however are allowed to be widely and freely discussed, as they are nothing more but societal models of commerce and control.
**These environments exist to prevent confusion and effort around trigger warnings. Besides, it ensures that the good things won't be drowned out by the bad, thus contributing to a comfortable climate within the pack. Furthermore, every member can individually choose whether or not to have access to those environments.
***Multipacking means to have membership in multiple different packs. We usually don't allow this, as we want to make sure that we can recognize and get to know each other as individuals over an extended period of time. In such a tight, warm and trustworthy environment, we are able to form deep and long lasting friendships more easily.
As already mentioned above, exceptions exist for example for members who live far away or possibly for those who negotiate on demand with pack leadership.
Non-observance or breaking of rules can lead to reprimands by pack leadership as well as punishments such as for example a demotion within the "rank order" or even banishment from the pack.
